RESPONSIBILITIES

I was primarily responsible for visual design, iconography and specifications. I worked closely with a colleague who provided UX.

LESSONS LEARNED

I was a part of a dispersed team across different time zones and countries. Thorough documentation was needed to ensure implementation reflected designs. Even with documentation, a meeting every other day was necessary for updates. I learned to create icons that matched the Microsoft aesthetics.

THE OUTLOOK ADD-IN FEATURES

The Syncplicity Add-in for Outlook enhances data protection in a few ways:

• Files are delivered to recipients as a secure link and fully track-able

• Senders can require recipients to authenticate to retrieve files

• Senders can require password protection for files

• IT can set file exclusion policies - prevent users from sending .PST files or any sensitive files.

• The solution respects existing rights management policies, ensuring IT maintains control of digital content no matter where it ends up.
